Story

He discovers the villagers are under the control of a religious cult, Los Illuminados, led by Osmund Saddler, and infected with a parasitic organism called Las Plagas. As Leon fights through the village, a castle, and an island facility, he crosses paths with series regulars including Ada Wong. The remake preserves the original's broad plot while deepening character motivations, without spoiling the overall outcome here.
